SOLAS Yachts was established in April 2016 to provide temporary cover for those Management Companies with only one ‘Designated Person Ashore’ (DPA) and one ‘Company Security Officer’ (CSO).

For those Management Companies that formally manage yachts under a Document of Compliance (DOC) there is a continuing legal requirement to provide an emergency point of contact for the yachts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

To enable a ‘Work Life Balance’ the company DPA/CSO will want to take annual leave or even a long weekend to attend a family function which will leave a procedural gap in the companies ‘Emergency Response’ organisation.

SOLAS Yachts can provide temporary ‘Emergency Response’ cover for the duration of absence of the regular company DPA/CSO.

In addition SOLAS Yachts provides a number of ‘Superyacht Related’ services that can be found on the ‘Services’ page.  Each ‘Service’ has a brief description with the relevant contact details should further information be required.

SOLAS Yachts is professionally certified to conduct all of the services provided with the relevant formal certification available under the ‘Certification’ page.
